Definitions

• Service: The web-based tool Rechtina, available at rechtina.at.
• Operator: The owner and creator of the Service.
• User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Service.

The Operator is based in Austria. These terms and the use of the Service are governed by Austrian law.

The Service is a private, non-commercial project.

1. Using the Service does not require the manual provision of personal data. Technical information about the User (server logs) is collected automatically.
2. Each time the User accesses the Service, log data is stored on the server: IP address, date and time of the request, type of browser and operating system, and referring website (if any). This data is used for security, technical, maintenance, and statistical purposes, but is not shared with third parties.
3. No data is stored in the browser automatically. Saved answers are stored only if the User chooses this option.
4. Questions submitted by the User are logged. After 1 day, they are anonymized and used for statistical and Service improvement purposes.
5. The Service uses OpenAI language models. This means that User questions are transmitted to OpenAI, which has its own data retention policy (details: https://openai.com/enterprise-privacy/).
6. The User has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

1. The Operator provides the Service free of charge.
2. The Service allows Users to search for legal sources that match their questions and generates answers using AI based on those sources. The Service is for educational and informational purposes only. The Operator assumes no liability for its accuracy or completeness. No information provided by the Service should be regarded as legal advice.
3. Austrian federal law is the sole source of data.
4. Both the search for sources relevant to a question and the generation of answers are performed by AI, which carries risks typical of this type of technology:
   - A source unrelated to the question may be classified as relevant.
   - A source important for answering the question may be omitted.
   - The answer generated from the sources may misinterpret legal provisions.
5. In addition to AI-related risks, errors may occur in the Service itself. The Operator is not responsible for the results of such errors.
6. Users may choose to save answers in their browser. This data should not be considered permanently stored. Its retention depends on the browser settings and may be lost when browser data is cleared or as a result of Service updates that make previously saved data unavailable.
7. The Operator reserves the right to modify the Service, temporarily suspend it, or discontinue it entirely at any time without prior notice.
8. The source code, texts, layout, design, and other proprietary elements of the Service are owned by the Operator and are protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
   The Service uses the Bulma CSS framework, which is licensed under the MIT License.
   The Service includes GeoLite2 Data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.
